THE EXPERIENCE
Would you like to update your home or office decor with some handmade flair?
Spend a relaxed afternoon in Millport at our Maura lamp-making workshop, have a fun day out and learn some new skills.

Did you know that Maura tartan is an official Scottish tartan?
We registered Maura tartan when we designed her gorgeous wee necktie. With some expert assistance, we now have material to make matching lampshades.

Using a Maura gin bottle and our official Maura tartan, our lamp-making expert, Wendy, will take you through the steps to make your own stylish bottle lamp. You will go home with your very own Maura lamp and will have all the skills to create many more beautiful shades!
Wendy will demonstrate a step-by-step approach, allowing you to work at your own speed. There will be plenty of time for questions and lots of tips to get that professional finish.
This workshop is designed for beginners. No sewing is required. We will use a push in lamp fitting, so no drilling of glass is involved.
Grab your friends and spend the day in Millport…or make it an island weekend. There is lots of fabulous accommodation and, whatever the weather, it will be lovely and warm and full of cheer in our distillery.
