The main tourist season in Scotland is the summer, but winter is becoming more and more popular with visitors. Believe it or not, a Scottish winter is not all wind, rain and cold temperatures. Yes, we have our fair share, but between the showers and sometimes for entire days, we enjoy gorgeous winter sunshine. Outdoors on a crisp, bright winter's day, the scenery and the town are simply stunning. And if you do happen to be here during a fierce storm, head on into one of our fabulous local pubs. Traditional Scottish hospitality and a dram of whisky or one of our craft gins will make you feel more at home than anywhere in the world. Thank you to Sonya Stuart and Crichton Rocks Cumbrae for these fabulous photos taken last week on a glorious winter's day in magical Millport.
