Join us for an amazing adventure. Step aboard one of our luxurious yachts and set sail for the Isle of Cumbrae with our friendly professional skipper.

Relax and unwind as you feel the wind in your hair and are surrounded by the beautiful scenery, nature and sealife of the Firth of Clyde. Kylie, our resident dolphin often makes an appearance as we head over to the Isle of Cumbrae and will happily swim close to our yachts as we sail by. Keep an eye out for the many playful seals that are easy to spot as they lounge lazily on the rocks of Wee Cumbrae and the Eileans in Millport bay and the many species of sea birds that grace our shores. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Upon arrival in Millport, your skipper will organise your transfer to the shore where the lovely team from the Isle of Cumbrae Distillers will be waiting to greet you. The distillery tour begins with a welcome drink (gin based of course!) and the team then bring to life the fascinating history of gin, the history of Millport and the colourful smuggling history of the Clyde. You will have the opportunity to improve your knowledge of the gin producing process, view the copper still and learn about the botanicals used in each gin and how these are connected to the island before you are introduced to their delicious array of award-winning small batch craft gins which you can sip and savour. As one of one of the few all-female-owned gin distilleries in Scotland, the tour also takes the time to highlight the important role women played in the history of gin. After your gin tasting and tour concludes, you will have the opportunity to make a purchase from a selection of craft gins and gifts in the distillery shop if you wish. The perfect souvenir of a day out to a Scottish gin distillery!

Feeling suitably refreshed, you will be escorted back to your yacht by the skipper and will enjoy a tasty lunch on board. Our locally sourced freshly prepared delicious sandwiches, wraps and cakes will be sure to bring a smile to your face. We also provide a selection of fruit, nibbles, soft drinks and tea and coffee for your enjoyment.

The afternoon is spent making the most of the amazing sailing waters and scenery in our area. Sailing out from Millport, you will enjoy views of the Wee Cumbrae, the Isle of Arran, the Isle of Bute and beyond. Depending on the wind direction and weather conditions you may sail around Wee Cumbrae (Little Cumbrae) or sail towards the Isle of Bute and around Big Cumbrae (Great Cumbrae). Whichever route you take, we guarantee that you will love the views and the different perspective that you can enjoy by being onboard a yacht. This is the time to truly relax in good company and enjoy your adventure in the outdoors as we make our way slowly back to our base at Largs Yacht Haven.

This is definitely one of the best days out for gin lovers in Scotland.
