This was an absolutely brilliant experience and well worth a visit. The distillery itself was very quaint, a light, bright building with so much to see in just one room! The tour included an in-depth story of how the distillery came about as well as the history of gin (listened to whilst enjoying a gin and tonic). We were shown the equipment and facilities with a full explanation of how the gin is produced and bottled and labelled. This was all followed by a gin tasting of 3 different gins they produce and what goes into each of them. We loved how it had been started and is now run by 5 women. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions and the woman who did the tour on the day we were there was so lovely. A very recommended place and experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Distillers and the tour. Our host was very informative, learnt things I never knew about Millport despite first having visited the island more than 50 years ago. Lovely to try the various gins to help decide what to buy! Highly recommend paying the Distillery a visit if you’re on the island, interesting and fun.
